Ruby is a firm favorite with everyone she meets, is an amazingly clever girl she loves to work for treats.   she will also play tug but her favorite is to work sheep.   Ruby is part trained on sheep, she has been used in our sheepdog handler training courses to help students understand their role in training a beginner sheepdog.  

She is quite strong as a sheepdog, so if going to a working home, she will need firm handling on sheep as she has not been worked for over a year.

Despite this she could continue her sheepdog training with the right person.  We would love for her to go to a small holding and be a useful addition to an active outdoor family.  

She is good with children, house trained, travels in a vehicle. 

She does have one hang up,  she is reactive to Gunfire (we have fish ponds and clay pigeon shoots and pheasant shoots around us, so there is constant gunfire.  She wants to herd and control this which of course is impossible so she gets excited and barks (only ever in reaction to the guns). 

If you have a quiet environment you will LOVE her "OFF SWITCH" and her loving nature. 

She has reared large litters of pups, carries the red and dilute gene.
